The Latest Word on Events

I have cringed every time I worked out in the field, and I discovered I was missing critical information for one of our events! This can be pretty disastrous, especially if you’re responsible for booking out others.

Running your business on a mobile booking app can be empowering. Finding the correct mobile app for event management can be a key to your success. A great mobile app will be completely customized for mobile devices as well as having strong displays on desktop computers. Your critical resources will always be at your fingertips anywhere you are.

Some years ago, it was a busy work day out working multiple events in the field. I was in a situation where I strongly needed some critical info for managing my staff’s work at one special event. The info I needed for managing the event was sitting on my desk unavailable to me – unfortunately I was 45 minutes away! In doing real-time events, specific information can be critical to an event’s success: a phone number, a party location, street directions, or even someone’s name.

Early solutions from existing software didn’t cut it. I was peeking at large documents while on a small phone when I was driving. Trying to look with a large document on mobile was not a good idea! That solution didn’t last long for me.

Going Mobile

Going mobile means putting all your information in a place that can be easily manageable. When it comes to crunch time, you know where your information is located if you have a strong mobile app.

Leaving Out the Large Binder

For many event managers and planners, going mobile means being able to leave your large notebook behind  – you won’t need to lug that big book around. An event planner retold about an event where another planner left their notebook somewhere, and the whole event suffered because their “brain” could not be found.

Access to Updates

Access to “real-time” updated info is highly critical to special events. Old stale information for your team does not help an event be successful, but can have drastic effects. When you and your team members can be on the same page regarding workable information, then chances increase that less miscommunication will occur.

I grew up in the Silicon Valley, California, and always knew that everything tech was possible – the possibilities were endless with technology. I have worked thousands of on-site events for many years providing services to big and small clients along with my team. From the early days, I dreamed of having everything I needed while mobile. The GigBase event management app will be launched soon – stay tuned to our updates at http://www.EventLightNing.com
